Muppy User Management¶
Two entries under Muppy / Configuration / Users cover user management:
- the Create User - Wizard, which creates a user,
- the Users list, which shows and edits existing users.
A third entry, Companies, opens the standard company form.
Create User - Wizard¶
Open Muppy / Configuration / Users / Create User - Wizard.
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| User Name | The user's name, entered as Firstname LASTNAME. |
| The address the user is reached at. It is also the login. | |
| User Type | The Muppy role granted to the user. The description below the field shows what the selected role allows. |
| Send Email Invitation | When checked, the user receives an email with a link to set their own password and activate the account. |
| Customer Slug | A short unique customer name used to build the DNS names of the servers created for that customer. Lowercase letters and digits only — no spaces, no punctuation. |
The Customer Slug is pre-filled from the user name and can be overridden.
Tip
Use the contextual help (the tooltips on each field) — it is kept in sync with the code.
If you leave Send Email Invitation unchecked, you can still send the invitation later from the user's form, reached through the Users list.
Users¶
Muppy / Configuration / Users / Users lists every Muppy user and opens the form where groups, company and access rights are edited.
